Joyce Lynn Darnold, age 61 of Manchester, departed this life on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at her home.
She was born on Thursday, June 17, 1954 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Charles and Reva Edwards Smith. She was a member of the Manchester Gospel Mission and was retired from the Clay County Board of Education.She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Mike Darnold, her sons: Michael Darnold and his wife Michelle of Oneida, and Brent Darnold of Manchester, and her granddaughter; Holly Darnold. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters: Eddie Smith and his wife Lucille of Manchester, Julia Jarvis of Manchester, Jeanie Smith and her husband Denver of Indiana, Bill Smith and his wife Aretta of Manchester, Terry Smith and his wife Judy of Manchester, Doug Smith and his wife Carla of Manchester, Kenneth Smith and his wife Billie Joyce of Manchester, and Lois Hobbs and her husband David of Manchester, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Reva Smith, her sister: Renda Harris and her husband Morton, her sister: Brenda, and her brother-in-law: Darrell Jarvis.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Clay County Cancer Coalition in memory of Joyce.
Funeral Services for Joyce Lynn Darnold will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tess Lipps and Rev. Anthony Lovett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery in the Laurel County Community.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
