Mrs. Lena Keith Hatton, 98 formerly of Oneida and Frankfort, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 26th at Hospice of Citrus County in Inverness, Florida. She was born on July 10th 1917.
Mrs. Hatton was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Ernest Hatton, both her parents, Robert B. and Nannie Barrett Keith Hatton, her brother, John Henry Keith Sr. and her sister Thelma Keith Bowling.
Miss Lena was a homemaker and a member of Oneida Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Oneida chapter and a member of the Oneida Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a volunteer in the craft store at Oneida Baptist Institute as well as as the Senior Citizens Center in Oneida and Frankfort, Kentucky.
Her interests included caring for her family, tending to her extensive flower garden and working with her hands crocheting and quilting.
Mrs. Hatton is survived by her son Larry Hatton (Marlana) of Richmond, Kentucky, her daughter Linda Gulley (Myron) of Bushnell, Florida, her sister Jennie Keith Brady of Tampa, Florida, her sister-in-law Margie Baker Keith of Franklin, Indiana, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many loving neices , nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of Citrus Care Unit at Citrus Health and Rehabilitation Center, 701 Medical Court East, Inverness, Florida 34452 or Clay County Hospice.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lena Keith Hatton will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 5th at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Greg McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial gardens.
Visitation will be 11 AM Saturday until the funeral hour.
