Mrs. Emma Ferguson Stephens, age 73 of Manchester, departed this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Corbin, KY.
She was born on Saturday, April 25, 1942 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Oliver and Elizabeth (Webb) Ferguson. She was a certified medical assistant and a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son: David Jones and these grandchildren: Shawen Jones and wife Kristin, Emma Shepherd, Lyndsey Mendoza, Corey Mendoza, Elizabeth (Precious) Mendoza, Ashley Mendoza; and 5 great grandchildren: Logan Jones, Olivia Jones, Levi Jones, Clayton Mendoza and Corbin Mendoza. Also surviving are 2 brothers and 1 sister: Ronnie Ferguson of Orlando, FL; Brenda Ferguson Parrish of Portland, Oregon; and David Ferguson of Manchester.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Sam Stephens; her parents: Oliver and Elizabeth Ferguson, her brother: Harold Ferguson and 2 nephews: Brandon Ferguson and Ernie Wayne Ferguson. Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Stephens will be conducted on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Grigsby and Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery in the Sacker Community.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
