Mr. Burchell Day, age 73 of Manchester departed this life on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his home.
He was born Thursday, November 5, 1942 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Lester and Goldie Hensley Day.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of over 50 years: Geraldine Davidson Day of Manchester, his son: Bobby Day and his wife Michelle of London, his grandson: Ryan Nicholas Day, his granddaughter: Haylee Elizabeth Day, his step granddaughter: Tazia Knox, his mother-in-law: Linda Davidson, that loved him like a son, his sister-in-law: Glinda Marcum and her husband Bobby that loved him like a brother. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Louis Day and his wife Emma, Willie Day, Paul Day and his wife Karen, Dale Day and his wife Amy, Donald Ray Day, Thelma Jean Jewell and her husband Bruce, and Norma Faye Reis, his niece: Tammy Marcum Lawson, his nephew: Robert Marcum that loved him dearly, his mother: Goldie Day, and also Jason and Michelle Smith and girls who helped care for him and loved him like family.
He is preceded in death by his father: Lester Day, and his brother: Lynn David Day.
Funeral Services for Mr. Burchell Day will be held on Monday, December 28 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bobby Stevens and Rev. Eldon Browning will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Ledford Cemetery in the Red Bird Community.
Visitation will be held on Sunday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
