Ms. Axie Jones, 78 of Manchester, passed away Saturday January 9, 2016 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Jones is survived by the following children, Eugene Carpenter and wife Ruby, Johnny Carpenter and wife Barbara, Teresa Bowling and husband Wayne, Lisa Lewis and husband Vernon and Lucille Henson all of Manchester, and Jessie Carpenter and wife Anna Paulette of London.
She also leaves surviving the following brothers and sister: Warden Jarvis of Hyden, KY, Roy Jarvis of Indianapolis, IN and Bonnie Forester of Tennessee.
Ms. Jones is also survived by 18 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Ms. Axie Jones will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Heritage Pentecostal Church with Bro. Steve May officiating. Burial will follow in the Brush Harbor Cemetery on the left fork of Billy's Branch.
Visitation will be after 3:00 PM Monday at the Heritage Pentecostal Church.
