Beve P. and Esther Lee “Ess” Roberts departed this life on Friday, January 22, 2016. Beve was born January 4, 1935 in Manchester, Ky to George and Blanche (Brumley) Roberts. Beve was a retired coal miner and of the Pentecostal faith. Esther was born September 5, 1938 to Matt and Martha (Owens) Dezarn. She was a retired bus driver for Comp Care and worked at Rice’s Shoe Store. She was a member of River of Life Pentecostal Church. They were married for 57 years.
They are survived by their children: Russell Roberts and Glenna, Darlene Hubbard, Bobby Roberts, Sharon Lyttle and Charlene Couch; 8 grandchildren: Rusty Roberts, Eric Hubbard, Joshua Hubbard, Kelli Roberts, Macy Roberts, Jimmy Lyttle, Jacob Lyttle, and Jonathan Couch and 2 great grandchildren: Ethan Hubbard and Bryson Roberts.
Beve is survived by these brothers and sisters: Twila Mae Gregory, Clara Joyce Seal, Linda Sue Brumley, Larry Roberts, Estill Roberts, and George Roberts, Jr.
Esther is survived by these brothers and sisters: Charlotte Stewart, Doris Gross, Clarence “Nig” Dezarn and Dan “Blue John” Dezarn.
Beve is preceded in death by his parents: George and Blanche Roberts and these brothers and sisters: Carl Roberts, Lloyd Roberts, Verna Lee Smith, Jimmy Roberts, Glen Dale Roberts, Wayne Roberts, Don Roberts, and Faye Dezarn.
Esther is preceded in death by her parents Matt and Martha Dezarn and these brothers and sisters: Stacia Reid, Jack Dezarn, Johnny “Chicken” Dezarn, Charles “Babe” Dezarn, Jean Lowe, Nannie Crawford, and Paul “Spoolie” Dezarn.
Joint funeral services for Beve and Esther “Ess” Roberts will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1:00 P. M. at Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charlie Helton and Rev. Ray Napier will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 after 6:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
