Let Us Pause to Honor the Memory of Former Clay County Resident Mrs. Laura Jeanette Marsh Rader

Mrs. Laura Jeanette Marsh Rader, age 92, of Milton, Kentucky entered this life on May 8, 1923 in Union, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late, Abijah Cleveland and Marian Kidwell Marsh.
She was raised near Union, Kentucky and was a 1942 graduate of Walton - Verona High School. On November 27, 1942 Laura was united in marriage to Herman Rader. This happy union of sixty two years was blessed with three son, Melvin, Marvin and David and a daughter, Carla. Laura had worked at Brunswick in Eminence, Kentucky, Kawneer in Carrollton, Kentucky, and in the cafeteria at Henry County High School. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Laura enjoyed being a homemaker, crocheting, needle point, reading, puzzles, and fishing. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Milton Baptist Church. Laura resided in Warsaw from 1969-1985, Pensacola, Florida from 1986-1996 and since 1996 in Trimble County. Laura died on Monday, February 1, 2016, at 9:10 a.m. at the Signature Health Care of Trimble County in Bedford, Kentucky.

A LOVING FAMILY
Laura will be missed by her loving daughter, Carla Blackburn and her husband, Danny of Manchester, Kentucky; her loving sons, Melvin Rader and his wife, Stacey of Pleasureville, Kentucky, Marvin Rader and his wife, Lind of Milton, Kentucky, David Rader of Daphne, Alabama; her brother, Harold Lee Marsh of Verona, Kentucky; her sister, Norvel Gullion of Verona, Kentucky; 16-grandchildren, 22-great grandchildren; 3-great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abijah Cleveland and Marian Kidwell Marsh, her husband of sixty two years, Herman Rader died, March 28, 2004, her brothers, Henry Marsh, Forest Marsh, Ralph Marsh and Lloyd Marsh, her great grandchild, Joshua Ryan Rader, her sisters, Gertrude Rader and Evelyn Pennington.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 4, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., by Rev. Ferrill Davis at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 near Madison, Indiana

Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Milton Baptist Church. Cards are available at the funeral home.
