Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Bennett, age 90 of Manchester departed this life on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Franklin, Ohio.
She was born on Sunday, December 13, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of George Edward and Maggie Turner Young. She was a homemaker.
She was united in marriage to James Bennett on April 4, 1942 and to this union the following children were born: Geneva Mae and Fred Robinson, James Allen “Jim” Bennett, Kenneth Lee and Carlene Bennett, Robert and Cindy Bennett, Joan and James Sizemore, and Irene and Wayne Smith. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: George Edward and Maggie Young, her husband: James “Jim” Bennett, who passed away in November 1973, her son: Paul Taylor Bennett who passed away in December 2015, her brother: George Young, sisters: May Workman, Olive Middleton, Myrtle Middleton, Clara Young, and her great grandson: Dakota House.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Bennett will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ken Bolin and Sabrina Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.
Visitation will be held on Thursday after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
