Gleason Allen, 62, of Manchester, passed away Thursday March 3rd, 2016 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
Gleason "Fatman" Allen is our special gift from God. He taught us to accept and love unconditionally. He showed us all how to enjoy the simple pleasures in life and love ourselves and how to laugh.
He is survived by one brother Kenneth Allen and wife Carolyn, London, KY, two sisters Lucy Allen and Ada Henson, both of Manchester.
He is also survived by one special nephew Michael Cottongim and wife Ruby, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, and other family.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Martha Allen and these siblings: Mary Allen, Letha Bush, David Allen, and Mason Allen.
The funeral service will be held 11 AM Sunday March 6th, 2016 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Paces Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9 AM Sunday at the Britton Funeral Home.
