Mr. Eugene Webb

Eugene Webb, of Oneida, KY, formerly of Lebanon, OH, passed away Wednesday March 2nd, 2016 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital, at the age of 86.

Eugene was born on May 9th, 1929 at Oneida, KY, the son of Kash L. Webb and Maxine Wilson Webb, Eugene has been a resident of Oneida, KY, since his retirement.

Eugene was a member of the United States Army, Infantry Division and served during the Korean war. After leaving the army, Eugene was employed at Deerfield Manufacturing in Ohio. Upon his retirement there he returned to Oneida, where he became actively involved with and worked alongside the local DAV. Eugene assisted with military funerals decorating cemeteries and transporting veterans to doctor appointments in Lexington in the DAV van.

Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was very personable and friendly to all who knew him.

Mr. Eugene Webb was preceded in death by his parents Kash L. Webb and Maxine Wilson Webb and the following brothers and sisters: Kash Jr. Webb, Lotus Mae Abner, Elmer Webb, Theo Webb, Conley Brack Webb, Bobby Ray Webb, and Nancy Louise Webb.

Eugene leaves the following relatives: 3 sons, Bobby Gene and Tammy of Oneida, KY, Randall Eugene and James Elwood of Louisville, KY, and one step son Jim Edward and Marilyn, of South Lebanon, OH. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Irene Brandenburg and Richard of Oneida, KY, and Mary Esther Barnes and Carl of Sizerock, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing.

The family would also like to thank the Manchester Memorial Hospital, Laurel Creek Health Care Center, and Britton Funeral Home for their professional care and kindness to Eugene and his family during his sickness.

Funeral Services for Eugene Webb will be held Sunday March 6th, 2016, with Visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of Service at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home, Manchester, KY, conducted by brother Jesse Martin. Interment following funeral services at the Maxaline Baker Cemetery, Oneida, KY.

Pallbearers: Harvey Gene Webb, Carl R. Barnes, Gregory Webb, Justin Barnes, Andrew Barnes, Phillip Lewis, and Mike Allen.
