Mr. Glenn Delbert Woods, age 70 years, 11 months, and 2 weeks departed this life on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Waco, Texas. He was born on Monday, April 2, 1945 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Delbert and Georgia Goforth Woods.
He was a heavy equipment owner and operator, a member of the First Baptist Church in Camp Wood, Texas, a veteran of the United States Army and Past Master of Robert Clark Masonic Lodge #646.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Carol Pennington Woods, his son: Darin Woods and his wife Janice, and his daughter: Tammy Hughes and her husband Bill. Also surviving is his sister: Margaret Hensley and her husband Bige and his aunt: Dorothy Hooker as well as many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Delbert and Georgia Woods.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 25 at 6:00 PM at the Georgia Woods Fellowship Hall of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the Sacker Community.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding. Interment will follow in the Woods Cemetery in the Sacker Community with Military Honors.
