Mr. Ardie Byrd, 73, of Byrd Road, Manchester, Kentucky, passed away March 27th, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Ardie was born October 13, 1942, in Manchester, Kentucky, to the union of Willie and Mary Anna Byrd. He attended the Church of God Worship Center at Laurel Creek, Kentucky.
Ardie is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Anna Byrd, his brother James (Jimmy) Byrd and his sister Minnie Mae Woods.
Ardie is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Mattie (Tootie) Rosiere, Thelma Johnson and husband Danny, Joyce Frazier and husband Stanley, Bessie Allen and husband Owen, Kenneth Byrd and wife Ruth Ann, Dewey Lee Byrd and wife Sharlene, Betty Collett and husband Harold, all of Manchester, and Dessie Barger and husband Vernon of Annville.
Ardie is also survived by one sister-in-law Shirley Byrd of Sextons Creek and three special sisters in Christ; Pamela Asher, Beverly Rogers and Cathy Murrell. He also leaves behind eleven nieces and sixteen nephews as well as many other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Funeral services for Mr. Ardie Byrd will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brad Stevens, Bro. Joey Burns and Bro. Phillip Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be held at 6 PM Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home.
