God called home his son and our Daddy, Rev. Cecil J. Jones, age 69 of Manchester, Kentucky on Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born on Sunday, September 29, 1946 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Shelby “Stuff” and Dorothy Chandler Jones, who precede him in death as well as his son: Danny Jones.
He was a truck driver, a member of the Holiness church and was Chaplain at the Manchester Fire Department.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Geneva Jones and the following children: Loretta “Dumpling” Smallwood, Kathy Bowling, Jerry and wife Joetta Jones, Brenda Jones, and Sheila and husband Jason Asher all of Manchester, and Shannon Jones and his wife Jessica of Barbourville. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and his brother: Billy Jones of Manchester and his sister: Ruth Bundy of London.
Funeral services for Rev. Cecil J. Jones will be conducted on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Roberts and Rev. Andrew Fultz will be officiating. Burial will be in the Harts Branch Cemetery in the Harts Branch Community.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday after 6:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
