Leroy Wombles, Sr., 49, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born on July 26, 1966 to the late Logan J. and Alma Faye (Botkins) Wombles in Indianapolis.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father who raised him, Otis Gregory, Sr. Leroy was a very giving person and protective of family. He loved to travel, liked Harley Davidson bikes and classic cars and knew how to have a good time.
Survivors include his loving children, Dana Wombles (wife, Gretchen Halston), Leroy Wombles, Jr., Amber Wombles and Hulbert Monday; brothers, Logan Wombles (wife, May), Otis Gregory, Jr. and James Gregory; sisters, Dana Wombles and Tonya Coffey (husband, Darren); grandchildren, Kyle Christopher Issacs and Jaylen Christopher Futch; fiancé, Lesley Craft; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St. Indianapolis.
A celebration of his life will take place following visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brian Lane officiating. Burial will follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
