Mr. Jimmie Smith, age 74 of Goose Rock Community departed this life on Sunday, June 26 at his home. He was born on April 4, 1942 in Clay County.
His parents were Holeman "Polk" Smith and Lola Smith. He was a member of the Jack's Branch Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his special companion and caregiver: Joann Smith, his children: Jimmy Dwayne Smith and his wife Ruth Ann, Ronnie Smith, Timothy Darren Smith and wife Kimberly Wilson Smith, Jimmie J. Smith and wife Carolyn, Ryan Anthony Smith and wife Shawna, Johnathan Smith and wife Larae, and Patrick Smith. Also surviving is a host of loving grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Holeman "Polk" and Lola Smith, his daughter: Goldie Ellen Smith, his sister: Goldie Wagers, and two brothers: J. C. Smith and stay Vernon Smith.
Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, June 29 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Smith, Bro. Ryan Smith and Rev. Terry Gray will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in the Martin's Creek Community.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
