Mr. James "J.B." Gray, 69, of Manchester passed away Sunday, July 10th, 2016 at his home. He was a charter member of the Lockards Creek Fire Department since it started in 1984 and also served as Fire Chief.
James is survived by his wife Carlene Gray of Manchester, three children; Jayce Gray and McKenzie Gray both of Manchester and James Michael Gray of Owsley County, Four grandchildren, Catherine Henson and husband Terry, James Darrell Hayre, Alica Gray and Aaron Gray as well as two great grandchildren, Raelee Henson and Jayden Henson.
He is also survived by his sisters Judy Bowling and husband Logan, Virgie Hibbard and Husband Dan and Nora J. Minton and husband Larry, all of Manchester and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents George and Nancy Jones Gray, James is preceded in death by his daughter Diana Hayre and his brother Morris Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Wade England officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home.
