Mr. John A. Hoskins, age 69 of Manchester departed this life on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born on Monday, August 11, 1947 in Clay County to Lee and Mary L. Hoskins. He was a fork lift operator and a member of the Liberty Worship Center.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Georgia Turner Hoskins, his children: Billy Turner and his wife April, Timothy Hoskins, and Mary Lou Hoskins North and her husband Steven. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren including Lena Brumley Smith and Mary Jo Brumley Bennett, and 5 great grandchildren as well as his brother and sisters: Theo L. Hoskins, Mae Coyle and Roberta Nicely.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Mary L. Hoskins, his infant son: John A. Hoskins, Jr. and these brothers and sisters: Reed Hoskins, Lee Hoskins, Jr., Bill Hoskins, and Pauline Burkhardt.
Funeral Services for Mr. John A. Hoskins will be conducted on Saturday, October 15 at 1 PM at the Antioch United Baptist Church. Bro. Billy Ray Arnett will be presiding. Burial will be in the Blevins Cemetery in the Woollum Community.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening after 6 PM at the Antioch United Baptist Church.
