Billie Martin Dyche King, wife of George Robert “Bobby” King, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was the mother of Marti Harris, Michelle Brock, and Joe Reynolds “Tony” (Donna) Brown II. She was “GiGi” to Josh Harris, Haylee Harris,Jeffrey Brock, Jr., Meg Brock, Abbey Brown, and Phillip Brown. She was sister to Margaret Dyche Keith.
Mr. Timothy W. Callahan of Stinnett, Kentucky, was born December 07, 1967 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of Belve Callahan and the late Beulah Callahan. Tim was united in marriage to Verdia Lee Mullins in Hyden, Kentucky on May 20, 1995. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was a member of the Big Fork Church of God at Yeaddiss, Kentucky.
Tim worked faithfully as a 911 Dispatcher for the Leslie County Emergency Operations Center for more than 10 years before retiring. Prior to dispatching, Tim worked as an EMT for the Leslie County Ambulance Service. He was a devoted member of the Masonic Order, Hyden Lodge # 664 and Leslie County Shrine Club.
Tim was a proud member of the Stinnett Volunteer Fire Department where he volunteered much of his time to help the betterment of the department and his community. He enjoyed the fire department, fishing and flea marketing.
Darlene Caldwell of Warbranch, Kentucky was born December 08, 1964 in Beverly, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Nancy Napier. Darlene had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was a member of the Middle Fork Holiness Church. She was united in marriage to Donald Caldwell on December 18, 1979.
By occupation, Darlene was a Certified Nursing Assistant, employed by Mary Breckinridge Hospital where she worked for more than 12 years until a sudden decline in her health. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed sitting on the porch in her rocking chair.
Darlene departed this life on Thursday, January 23,2020 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. She was 55 years old.
Mr. Wallace "Wally" Hampton, age 73 departed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the North Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on Saturday, February 9, 1946 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Burnett and Ruby Shepherd Hampton. He was an environmental engineer; he worked with the United States Public Health Service for over 22 years and attended the Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
Sheila Bowling, age 58 departed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at her daughter's home. She was born on Wednesday, January 17, 1962 in Manchester, Kentucky to Earnest and Ola Gibson Ruth. She was a homemaker.
Mr. Arnold Brumley, age 93 departed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek. He was born on Thursday, May 6, 1926 in Manchester, Kentucky to John and Creasie Smith Brumley. He was a retired coal miner and carpenter as well as a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Fannie (Hyde) Dezarn, age 81, of London, Kentucky and formerly of Clay County, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Beachtree Manor in Jellico, Tennessee.
