WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement Saturday regarding the overnight tornadoes and severe weather in Kentucky:

COLUMBIA COUNTY, OR (December 12, 2021) - The Oregon State Police is reporting that on Friday, December 10, 2021 at approximately 9:03 P.M., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a bicyclist hit by a vehicle on Highway 30 near milepost 23.

LONDON, KY (December 12, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Traffic Crash Reconstructionist/ Deputy Brad Mink along with Deputy Tommy Houston and Deputy Bo Harris investigated a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic fatality which occurred on U.S. 25 approximately 7 miles South of London early Sunday morning December 12, 2021 at approximately 2:21 AM.

FRANKFORT, KY  – Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Treasurer Allison Ball have alerted Kentucky consumers and retailers to scams involving fake and counterfeit money. During the holiday shopping season, scammers are attempting to use phony dollars and forged bills to make purchases.  

HAZARD, KY – The Kentucky State Police, Hazard Post which provides coverage for Perry, Knott, Letcher, Breathitt and Leslie Counties, will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints as approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual. 

MANCHESTER, KY - The Clay County Sheriffs Office is reporting that on Monday, December 6, 2021 at approximately 7:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Coty Arnold, Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with Sgt. Jeremy Gabbard arrested Danny Kilgore, 44 of Manchester.
