360 Grams of Methamphetamine, along with Heroin, Xanax, Other Drugs and a Large Amount of US Currency Seized by Sheriff's Investigators at a Motel Room in Southeast, Kentucky

Laurel County Sheriff John Root, Deputy Justin Taylor and contraband seized at two locations

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root along with Sheriff's detectives and deputies arrested one individual on Tuesday morning March 16, 2021 at approximately 10 AM.

The arrest occurred at a motel in southern Laurel County following a drug investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff's Office at a motel room and another residence in the vicinity and the execution of a search warrant at the motel room where Sheriff's investigators found a total of 360 grams of Methamphetamine, along with Heroin, Xanax, Gabapentin, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of US currency.

Charles Ray Salmon 3 16 21 200

Investigators arrested Charles Ray Salmon age 55 of High Top Road, Corbin, KY charging him with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – first offense – Heroin
  • Two counts of trafficking in a Controlled substance – third-degree – first offense
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations and arrests will continue in Laurel County.
