FORMER CAPTAIN OF POLICE DEPARTMENT IN SOMERSET, KENTUCKY ARRESTED ON INDICTMENT WARRANT

SOMERSET, KY (March 09, 2023)The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that KSP Post 11, London presented evidence to the Pulaski County Grand Jury resulting in the indictment of Michael I. Correll, 44 years old of Somerset, KY on March 8, 2023.  Michael Correll retired from the Somerset Police Department as a Captain on November 1, 2022. 

Human Skeletal Remains discovered in February by Hunters in Cecil County, Maryland

PERRYVILLE, MD – The Maryland State Police (MSP) is reporting an investigation into a February incident in which hunters reported the discovery of human skeletal remains in a wooded area in Cecil County. 

Shortly before 10:30 A.M. on February 26, 2023, Troopers from the North East Barrack received a call from two hunters in a wooded area off of Mountain Hill Road, near Route 7 in Perryville. They told police that they had located possible human skeletal remains along with a firearm, clothes, and jewelry.

Lexington Kentucky Man Sentenced to Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

FRANKFORT, KY— The U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Kentucky is reporting that a Lexington, KY man, Isaiah Wimberly, 30, was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison on Wednesday, by U.S. District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove, for possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Kentucky State Police Post 7 Announces Traffic Safety Checkpoints

FRANKFORT, KY (March 8, 2023)Senator Adrienne Southworth has filed SB 259 to repeal a law that was denounced by the Kentucky Supreme Court in 1987. As the youngest member of the senate, KRS 532.055 has been operationally functioning, albeit on life support, her whole lifetime.
