Breezy conditions keep wildfire threat a concern through the weekend

A cold front will pass across eastern Kentucky Saturday morning bringing a few hours of rain followed by gusty west winds, which will persist through the weekend.

With only light rainfall expected, the wildfire threat will lessen but remain somewhat of a concern through the weekend. The greatest concern is Sunday when gusty winds will combine with lower humidity in the afternoon.

Tonight- Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. West northwest wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 43. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Sunday Night - Clear, with a low around 19. Light west northwest wind.

Monday - Sunny, with a high near 50. Calm wind.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 16. Calm wind.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 59.

Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Wednesday - Scattered showers, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night - Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thanksgiving Day - Isolated showers before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Chance of precipitation is 10%.
