Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Brad Mink arrested Kim McCoy age 41 of Locust Grove Cemetery Rd., London on Friday morning November 18, 2016 at approximately 9:57 AM.
The arrest occurred after deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint where a male subject was also refusing to leave.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that this subject had allegedly became upset at a three-year-old child's actions and had allegedly took his hat off and struck the child in the eye with his hat. The mother of the child then asked this subject to leave the residence and he refused to do so, running outside into a playhouse where deputies located him.
When deputies made contact with this subject he allegedly became upset with deputies screaming at them and demanding that they get out of his playhouse.
Kim McCoy was charged with assault - fourth degree – domestic violence and disorderly conduct – second-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
