Harlan, Ky. – Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan held their annual Shop with a Trooper program this week across our three county post area.
Monday, troopers shopped with 20 kids at Walmart in Bell County. Tuesday, troopers shopped with 20 kids at Walmart in Harlan County and on Wednesday troopers shopped with 22 kids at Walmart in Knox County.
All 62 kids received $120.00 worth of clothing and toys. These kids are then provided with a meal and before they return to their buses all 62 kids received a new bicycle.
KSP (Shop with a Trooper) operates solely from donations from our community.
This is the first year that Post 10 was able to provide all 62 kids with a new bicycle in addition to the $120.00 they received to spend at our local Walmart stores.
