WAYNESBURG, Ky. (June 8, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post has arrested a Somerset man as the result of an ongoing death investigation, after human remains were found in a rural portion of Lincoln County early Tuesday morning.
Based on the initial investigation it is believed that the human remains found on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 are those of April Neikirk, who was last seen in Lincoln County on April 25th. April Neikirk was reported missing to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on May 11th after family members were concerned for her safety.
As a result of the ongoing investigation Otha G. Wesley, 45 years old of Somerset, was arrested yesterday and is lodged in the Lincoln County Detention Center charged with Murder, Abuse of a Corpse, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Cameron Allen.

WAYNESBURG, Ky. (June 5, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called by the Lincoln County Sheriff just after 1:00 am this morning, in reference to possible human remains that were located in a rural area of Lincoln County off of Ike Singleton Road.
KSP Post 7 Troopers responded to the area, and helped locate the human remains just before 2:00 am. The decomposed body was removed by the Lincoln County Coroner, and taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy. The identity and cause of death are unknown at this time.
