Three Convicted Felons Arrested On Drug Charges In Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. (October 5, 20190 - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Bryon Lawson along with Detective James Sizemore, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Maj. Chuck Johnson, Detective Richard Dalrymple, Detective Kyle Gray, and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested three individuals on Thursday morning October 3, 2019 at approximately 11:54 AM.

The arrests occurred off Vaughn Ridge Road approximately 5 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to investigate a burglary complaint.

When deputies arrived at the scene to conduct their investigation they could smell a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the residence and after securing permission from the homeowners to enter they located a large amount of Marijuana, two Meth pipes with residue on them, and a handgun.

The three individuals inside the residence were all determined to be convicted felons.

The three arrested individuals were identified as:

Teddy Dean Vaughn age 57 of Vaughn Ridge Rd., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Trafficking in Marijuana first offense

Patrick Watkins age 53 of O Neill Court, London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Trafficking in Marijuana – first offense

Jessica Sizemore age 32 of Les Hubbard Road, London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Trafficking in Marijuana – first offense

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
