The story relates to firearms training that the Laurel County Sheriff's Office range deputies conduct with our court security officers (CSO's) prior to them going to the Department of Criminal Justice Training held at Eastern Kentucky University's law enforcement Academy for all new CSO's statewide.

The Laurel County Sheriff's office conducts training and qualification with the new hire CSO's with the Sheriff's office duty weapon.

When our CSO's arrive at DOCJT's training, they have already been firearm’s trained which is very beneficial making them pre-trained with a firearm before arrival for training there.

Not pictured is: LSO’s Court Security Supervisor/Training Coordinator Sgt. Phil Barnard, and the Judicial Center CSO supervisor Sgt. Jack Caudill.

Shooting qualification conducted at Center Target Firearms and Indoor Range in London.

Center Target donates their facility for the Laurel County Sheriff's Office to conduct it's training and qualifications during the year.
