Highway 421 resident apprehended after fleeing MPD Officer

MANCHESTER, KY (January 23, 2020) - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that: On Wednesday January 22 2020 around 2:00 AM MPD Officer Jeremy Garrison was dispatched to a complaint of a black truck stopped in the roadway around Island Creek Hill with no lights on.

Officer Garrison located the truck and attempted to stop the truck by activating his blue lights and sirens. The driver of the truck refused to stop.

The truck pulled into a residence and the driver exited the vehicle through the driver side window and ran on foot toward Needmore Hollow.

Officer Garrison pursued the subject on foot and caught him after a brief foot chase.

Shannon McQueen age 37 of North Hwy 421 Manchester was arrested and charged with:

  • Numerous traffic violations
  • Fleeing and evading police 2nd degree motor vehicle
  • Fleeing or evading police 2nd degree on foot
  • 2 clay county warrants of arrest including a Circuit Bench bench warrant for failure to appear
