Clay County woman arrested for Drug Trafficking during Traffic Stop near London, Ky.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler arrested Patricia Ann Reeves age 52 of Granny's Branch Road, Manchester early Saturday morning August 15, 2020 at approximately 12:33 AM.

The arrest occurred on East Hal Rogers Parkway approximately 1/2 mile east of London following a traffic stop conducted on a black Chevrolet pickup that was weaving on the roadway.

During the stop, an investigation was conducted on both the driver and passenger.

During that investigation and due to suspicious behavior from the passenger, the passenger was found in possession of a large amount of Gabapentin pills many with another individual's name on a prescription bottle.

In addition, this individual was found in possession of Suboxone pills in a small Ziploc baggie, and Hydrocodone pills.

Patricia Reeves was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Opiates
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – second-degree – first offense – Schedule 3 drugs
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Assisting on the investigation and arrest were Shift Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Landry Collett and Deputy Tommy Houston.
