Bond Has Been Set For Man Accused Of Murdering His Parents On Tom Cat Trail In Southeast Ky.

LONDON, KY (September 16, 2020) - According to Jail records, a cash bond has been set for a man accused of murdering his parents at their residence on Tom Cat Trail in Laurel County, Kentucky.

Joseph L. Benge age 40 of London was arrested Tuesday night September 15, 2020 by the Kentucky State Police in Mayfield, Ky.

Information in the Laurel County Correctional Center's website indicate that Benge is being held on a $50,000.00 cash bond and a court date has been set for Friday morning September 18, 2020 at 9:30 A.M.

NOTE: At the time of publishing (September 16, 2020 at 6:28 P.M.) the bond amount was clearly listed as $50,000.00... Now, its listed as $500,000.00 ... Apparently the $50,000 was was the 10% amount.

 
 

Joseph Benge is charged with:

  • Two counts of Murder
  • One count of robbery
  • One count of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 – Auto
