Two arrests off KY 1223 in Laurel County / Meth and pills found during Drug Investigation

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/Shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Travis Napier and Deputy Daniel Reed arrested two individuals off North Highway 1223 approximately 9 miles South of London while conducting a drug investigation there.

Deputies found the two individuals, one in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • A glass Meth pipe
  • A glass Marijuana pipe

Another individual there was found in possession of:

  • Suboxone
  • Oxycodone
  • Hydrochloride
  • Scales
  • Marijuana

This individual stated he had no prescriptions for the medicines.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Stephen W. Eaton age 54 of North Highway 1223, Corbin charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

Jeffery L. McDaniel age 51 of Lancelot Dr., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – degree – first offense – Opiates
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Trafficking in Marijuana first offense
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
