SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Pulaski County woman for Possession of Heroin and other charges.
On May 22, 2025, Detective Branson Patterson stopped a vehicle being driven by Aubrey Nicole Jones, 24, of Somerset, KY after seeing that the vehicle was displaying an expired registration plate. When Det. Patterson attempted to stop the vehicle, Jones continued driving until she reached a local business where she then backed into a parking spot.
When Det. Patterson approached the vehicle, he noticed a needle lying in Jones’ lap. When Det Patterson told Jones to exit the vehicle, she dropped the needle on the ground and attempted to pick it up. Det. Patterson then detained Jones. This subject then told Detective Patterson that she knew she had a warrant for her arrest. Detective Patterson confirmed this with Pulaski 911 Dispatch. Jones’ driver’s license was also suspended.
During the traffic stop, Det. Patterson noticed a piece of paper that had been under the vehicle. The folded paper contained suspected heroin. Det. Patterson also observed scales and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Aubrey Jones was charged with:
No Registration Plates, No Registration Receipt, Failure of Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance/Security-First Offense, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Failure to Wear Seat Belts, Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License, Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree-First Offense (Heroin), and Drug Paraphernalia.
Det. Patterson was assisted on the traffic stop by Sergeant Kyle Wilson, who also served the warrant for Jones’ arrest, which was a parole violation warrant.
Sgt. Wilson transported Jones to the Pulaski County Detention Center where she has not yet been issued a bond.
