Methamphetamine Arrests during Investigation of Vehicle with Obstructed Vision on Kentucky Route 770

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy James Fox along with Deputy Hobie Daugherty, Deputy Landry Collett, and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested two individuals on Highway 770 approximately 12 miles South of London early Monday morning December 14, 2020 at approximately 2:59 AM.

The arrests occurred following a traffic stop conducted on a black Ford F150. Deputies noted the pickup had a window which obstructed vision.

As deputies investigated, they found the two individuals in possession of:

  • Methamphetamine
  • Glass pipes
  • Marijuana wax products

The two individuals arrested were identified as:

The driver Byron Kemp Howard II age 25 of Canary St., Corbin, KY charged with:

  • Obstructed vision or windshield
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana

The passenger Davanna Paige Jones age 19 of KY 1232, Gray charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
