Three reported deaths in two separate accidents in Southeastern Kentucky

MANCHESTER, KY (December 30, 2020) - The City of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: On Tuesday, December 29, 2020 their agency was notified by Clay County E-911 to various incidents throughout the day the first being around 1:00 P.M. which was a fatal motor vehicle accident, personnel responded and assisted on scene.

Around 7:00 P.M. units were dispatched mutual aid to Burning Springs Fire Department for a possible logging accident around a mile in the mountains that was fatal to two subjects.

Units extricated and assisted the Manchester Police Department, Kentucky State Police, and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office with the scene.

We will not be releasing any further information concerning each incident or of any subjects involved due to privacy and respect of the families.

We send our most sincere condolences to each family affected by these tragic accidents.
