Clay County Sheriff’s Office Executes Arrest Warrant for Manchester, KY Man

Manchester, KY – On June 12, 2025, Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson announced the arrest of John Lawson, 52, of Manchester, following the execution of a bench warrant issued by Clay District Court.

The warrant was served by Deputy Paul Michael Whitehead of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Deputy J. Neeley.

John Lawson was charged with:

  • Theft by Unlawful Taking (TBUT) for property valued between $1,000 and $10,000

The arrest took place Thursday morning June 12, 2025. Lawson, described as a white male, 5’4”, 180 lbs, with gray/partially gray hair and green eyes, was booked into the Clay County Detention Center on June 12 at 9:03 AM. No bond, fine amount or court date has been made available. Lawson remains in custody, classified as a Clay County inmate.
