Drug Trafficking Investigation in Kentucky Results in Seizure of Illegal Narcotics & Cash with 3 Suspects Arrested 2 of Which were Found Hiding Inside Holes in Walls

SOMERSET, KY - In a press release dated December 21, 2020 Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reported that: On December 18, 2020 Deputy Trent Massey executed a search warrant on a Jacksboro Street address in Ferguson, Ky. Deputy Massey was following up on information he received that individuals at that residence were involved in illegal narcotics trafficking.

Deputy Massey, along with several Deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office and Officer Desmond Brittle with the Ferguson Police Department went to the residence to serve the search warrant.

When the Deputies and Officer Brittle arrived, they found approximately 13 people on the premises. Some were hiding in the residence and a couple were outside.

During the search, Deputy Massey, assisted by the other officers, located:

  • Approximately 38.49 grams of Methamphetamine
  • Five (5) suspected Suboxone tablets
  • Eight and a half (8.5) suspected Xanax bars
  • A set of digital scales
  • $435.00 in US currency 

Brandon Mayfield, age 31, of Hacker Road in Somerset, Kentucky was located hiding in a hole in the wall with three (3) bags of the suspected Methamphetamine and $435.00 US currency.

Brandon Mayfield was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree, 1st Offense – (less than 20 Dose Units – Drug Unspecified)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, 1st Offense (less than ten dose units Schedule 1 and 2 Non-Narcotic)
  • Possession of Marijuana

Brandon Mayfield also had a Bench Warrant out of Pulaski District Court for Failure to Pay Fines on traffic charges he had back in 2019.

The 2019 charges were from where he had received citations for:

  • No Insurance
  • No License in Possession
  • Obstructed Windshield

This Bench Warrant was served by Sergeant Steven Alexander. Mr. Mayfield owes the court over $1,000 dollars.

Brandon Mayfield was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center where he remains lodged as of this press release.

During the search of the residence, Deputies located a small baggie containing approximately 0.92 grams of suspected Heroin in the basement area of the house.

Noah Bolin, age 23, of Maple Lane Spur in Science Hill, Kentucky was located hiding in a hole in the wall of the basement. He was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Heroin)

Sergeant Steven Alexander served a Parole Violation on Mr. Bolin for:

  • Absconding Parole Supervision
  • Failure to Complete Treatment for Substance Abuse

Noah Bolin was later transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center where he remains lodged as of this press release.

Another person who was at the residence was:

 Dillan Gage Shadoan, age 20, of Mountain Air Drive in Somerset, Kentucky.

Mr. Shadoan had an active Probation Violation Warrant on him and was arrested for:

  • Probation Violation

He was later transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center.

At the jail, the staff discovered a small quantity of suspected Heroin weighing approximately 0.4 grams.

In addition to the Probation Violation Warrant, Mr. Shadoan was charged with:

  • Promoting Contraband, 1st Degree, a felony

He remains lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center as of this press release.

Assisting Deputy Trent Massey in the investigation were Lieutenant Bobby Jones, Sergeant Steven Alexander, Deputy Logan Starnes, Detective Todd Wilson, Deputy Nathan Meadows, Deputy Brandon Smith, and Officer Desmond Brittle (Ferguson Police Department).
The case remains under investigation by Deputy Trent Massey.
