LONDON, KY (February 15, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Hobie Daugherty with assistance from a KSP trooper arrested Jacque M. Bush age 25 of East Bernstadt early Sunday morning February 14, 2021 at approximately 3:01 AM.

The arrest occurred off Mount Zion Road approximately 12 miles north of London at a residence there after deputies were dispatched to a complaint from a male subject that a male subject was holding the complainant's wife against her will.

While en route to the scene, deputies learned that the female subject had been there for a period of time when apparently the male subject there became violent and was shooting a firearm outside the residence.

When deputies arrived at the scene they learned that allegedly the male subject there had began to get violent breaking objects throughout the residence and punching holes in the walls.

The female subject there apparently called her husband to come get her at that residence and take her home.

Deputies learned that the male subject at the residence there then became irate and allegedly assaulted her and placed his hands around her neck choking her and had bit her lip causing a noticeable bruise.

The male subject there then held a gun on himself preventing the female subject from leaving the residence.
