Crash on Old KY 30 in Laurel County, Kentucky Allegedly Caused by a Rolling Domestic Dispute

PRESS BANNER LSO

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston arrested two individuals on Saturday night August 14, 2021 at approximately 9:46 PM.

The first arrest occurred on Old KY 30 approximately 5 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a noninjury traffic crash involving a silver Chevrolet Cavalier there.

While enroute to the scene Deputy Houston was notified by dispatch that apparently a male and female subject were outside the wrecked vehicle involved in a physical altercation.

Deputy Travis Napier who was already on scene advised that the male and female subject involved in the crash had apparently fled the scene on foot.

While at the scene investigating the crash, Deputy Houston noted that the male subject arrived back at the scene and following an investigation by deputies was determined to be under the influence.

Deputies also learned during the investigation that allegedly the crash had occurred because the male and female subject were involved in a rolling domestic dispute situation when allegedly the wife had grabbed the steering wheel causing the car to travel into the ditch there.
