The Manchester Rental Center in Clay County, KY opened its doors in 2016 serving customers in Clay and surrounding southeastern Kentucky counties by renting high quality tools & equipment for residential & commercial use.
Very soon it became apparent that not only was there a need for a tool rental store in the area but there was also a void for for retail products and services that needed filling.
Owner, Glenn Metcalf said: "We begin to sell & service outdoor power equipment such as weed eaters, chain saws, blowers, mowers, tillers, and pressure washers with brands of Shindaiwa, Echo, & Troybuilt and in 2019 due to lack of availability in the area & costumer demand, our shelves were stocked with ammunition for rifles, shotguns, handguns and most other firearms."
In July of 2021, Manchester Rental expanded once again by adding a wide variety of major brand firearms like Smith & Wesson, GLOCK, Ruger & Charter along with accessories.
Currently in addition to their rental service and gun sales the business now has:

- Propane
- RV supplies
- Coal & wood heaters
- Flues & pipes
- Go-Karts
- Over 200 styles of CASE and Old Timer knifes
- Hundreds of other items that contractors and homeowners need
New inventory is being added on a regular basis.
The growth and success of Manchester Rental Center LLC is attributed to new and returning customers that appreciate top quality products and services being provided by a courteous and knowledgeable staff.
Business hours are:
- Monday/Friday - 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
- Saturday - 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
- Closed on Sunday
