Arrest in Southeastern Kentucky Murder of London Businessman Bryan McCarty

LONDON, KY (March 23,2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel along with Deputy Jamie Etherton arrested Victoria Strelsky age 49 of Maple Grove Road, London, regarding the murder of Bryan McCarty age 62 of Maple Grove Rd., London, KY.

The arrest occurred at McCarty’s residence off Maple Grove Road, approximately 5 miles west of London following an extensive investigation conducted by Detective Taylor McDaniel regarding the murder of Bryan McCarty age 62 of Maple Grove Rd., London.

McCarty was found deceased inside his residence on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at approximately 10:56 AM after Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Etherton was dispatched to conduct a welfare check at McCarty's residence after a business associate noted he missed a business meeting earlier.

Deputy Etherton found McCarty inside the residence deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. During the course of the investigation, multiple search warrants were executed at two residences belonging to the victim, and evidence seized. Significant information was obtained.

On March 23rd, 2022 based on investigative results, an arrest warrant was obtained for Victoria Strelsky charging:

  • Murder
  • Forgery 1st degree
  • Tampering With Physical Evidence

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
