ARREST: Methamphetamine/Heroin seized from Berea Man in Laurel County, Kentucky

LONDON, KY (May 16, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's interdiction unit Justin Taylor along with interdiction unit Landry Collett arrested Jeffrey Wayne Farmer age 35 of Topaz Lane, Berea, KY early Monday morning May 16, 2022 at approximately 2:17 A.M.

The arrest occurred off I–75 and KY 909 approximately 10 miles north of London after Sheriff's investigators found the driver of a vehicle there in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, and suspected Heroin.

During the investigation of the suspect, the suspect attempted to flee on foot and following a short foot chase was taken into custody.

Jeffrey Farmer was charged with:

  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Heroin
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
