Methamphetamine Arrest in Laurel County, Kentucky during Investigation by LSO Drug interdiction Units

LONDON, KY (July 8, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's drug interdiction unit Justin Taylor along with drug interdiction unit Landry Collett arrested George Couch, JR age 41 of Slate Lick Road, London early Friday morning July 8, 2022 at approximately 12:45 AM.

The arrest occurred near a business off U.S. 25 approximately 2 miles north of London after this subject was found in possession of:

George Couch Jr 200

  • Suspected Meth,
  • Pills
  • Digital scales
  • A hypodermic syringe

George Couch, JR was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
