ARREST: Methamphetamine seized during Traffic Stop on Beech Creek Road in Clay County, Kentucky

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at approximately 12:45 P.M. the Clay County Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Wes Brumley along with Deputy Jared Smith arrested Clay White, 51 of Stone Gap Road.

The arrest occurred on Beech Creek Road when Deputy Brumley conducted a traffic stop for vehicle infractions.

Upon making contact with the subject, Deputy Brumley ran the subjects name through Clay County 911 at which time showed the subject to be operating on a suspended license and having numerous warrants for his arrest.

During the arrest, Manchester City Police Officer Derrick Carr observed a large plastic baggie with white substance partially under the seat.

The subject was placed under arrest without incident.

Clay White (right) was charged with:

• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• No Tail Lamps
• Rear License Not Illuminated
• Driving DUI Suspended License- 2nd Off.
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree > or = 2 grams Methamphetamine

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
