BUSTED: KENTUCKY STATE POLICE ARREST COUPLE IN BELFRY - SEIZE DRUGS, FIREARMS & CASH

BELFRY, KY – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that a KSP drug investigation was conducted in the Belfry community of Pike County on January 18th after a Trooper from Post 9 contacted an intoxicated male at a local gas station.

During the investigation, the Trooper detected the smell of Marijuana coming from the vehicle of the intoxicated male. During a search of the vehicle, Troopers located and seized quantities of suspected Methamphetamine and Marijuana.

Additionally, prescription medication, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and a sum of cash were seized.

Bucky Smith, 46 of Phelps, was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center on charges of:

  • Public Intoxication
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense

Tina Runyon, 48 of Phelps was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center on charges of:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense
