LONDON, KY - (January 30, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Greg Poynter along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Julie Meade age 45 of London on Sunday morning January 29, 2023 at approximately 11:19 A.M..
The arrest occurred off Mill Creek Road, approximately 6 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to an assault complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located a female victim that had allegedly been struck in the back of the head.
The suspect, Julie Meade, was charged with:
- Assault – 4th°
In addition, this subject was wanted on an outstanding warrant – A Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
The accused was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
