HUSTONVILLE, KY (February 7, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that KSP Post 7, Richmond was contacted just before 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 6, 2023 in reference to a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on U.S. 127 South in Lincoln County.
The inital investigation indicates a 2013 Volvo XC90 being operated by Steven Sleeper 67, of Danville was traveling north on U.S. 127 when he struck a pedestrian Jordan Wilkinson, 25, of Lexington who was on the roadway.
As a result of the collision, Mr. Wilkinson was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries, and was pronounced deceased by the Boyle County Coroner.
Mr. Sleeper was not injured in the collision.
The ongoing collision investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Neal Barnes.
He was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County EMS, Lincoln County Fire Department and Boyle County Coroner’s Office.
