LONDON, KY (April 24, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Stephen Walker along with KSP Trooper Steve Walker arrested Cameron James Myers age 20 of Barbourville, KY early Sunday morning April 23, 2023 at approximately 2:19 AM.
The arrest occurred on Highway 770 approximately 10 miles South of London after this subject was stopped in a vehicle that failed to dim its headlights.
Cameron James Myers was charged on a Knox District Court bench warrant of arrest charging Failure to Appear in court on charges of:
- Fleeing or evading police – first-degree – motor vehicle
- Reckless driving
- Two counts of wanton endangerment – first-degree
- One count of wanton endangerment – first-degree – police officer is victim
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
