LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Wes Brown arrested Garry Wright age 37 of Gray, KY on Wednesday night September 27, 2023 approximately 9:07 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team attempted to detain this individual.
This subject allegedly fled into the parking lot and was detained by Deputy Brown who conducted an investigation and learned that allegedly this individual had taken items totaling $65.96 without paying for them.
Garry Wright was charged with:
- Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
