LONDON, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Byron Grimes arrested Joey Coleman, age 29 of London, on Monday, October 2, 2023.
The arrest occurred after Coleman showed up at a residence in Laurel County, intoxicated and waving a weapon in the air, demanding to see a person inside of the residence.
Upon law enforcement's arrival, Coleman initially complied with deputies commands to put the weapon down, however he then started to resist as officers attempted to take him into custody.
Deputies were eventually able to take Coleman into custody and transport him to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Joey Coleman was charged with:
- Wanton Endangerment
- Alcohol Intoxication
- Criminal Trespassing
- Resisting Arrest and other criminal charges
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
