Felony Probation Violator Located and Arrested During Search in Somerset, Kentucky for a Pulaski County Escapee

SOMERSET, KY - According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Bobby Jones is reporting that a Somerset, Kentucky man has been arrested for Escape 2nd Degree.

On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, SGT Preston Pittman received information about the possible location of the suspect, Christopher Hendrix, 22 years of age.

With this information, a search warrant was obtained for 212 Chandler St., Somerset, KY.

Deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Somerset Police Department served the search warrant on Chandler St. in Somerset, KY.

Located at the residence was 43 year-old Judy Hendrix.

Hendrix was found to have a Probation Violation warrant out of Pulaski County, she was arrested and transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Judy Hendrix is charged with:

  • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE)

This individual was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center and is currently being held without bond.

Deputies later obtained further information on Christopher Hendrix’s location, and permission to search the residence of 322 High St., Somerset, KY, was obtained from a resident.

Hendrix was found during the search, hiding in a closet.

Christopher Hendrix was taken into custody and transported to and lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center where's he is currently being held without bond.

Hendrix escaped custody on April 20, 2023, while he was on work release through the Pulaski County Detention Center while serving a four-year sentence for:

  • Receiving Stolen Property
  • Multiple counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
  • Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Probation Violation
